The First Run Song Competition is designed to offer these very opportunities. Contestants must compose music and lyrics according to guidelines for each category. One winner from each category will have their song featured in the live Stageplay, FIRSTBORN, Spring 2010 in Oakland, CA.

FRSC believes there is a great deal of talent undiscovered in young musicians. It is important for younger writers to have a stage to debut their works. Songwriters and composers under 25 are encouraged to submit their work to the First Run Song Competition.
